What's on the Docket # 17 - November 25 to December 1

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.  --John F. Kennedy, 35th US president (1917-1963)

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
THANKGIVING LUNCHEON: Congratulations and Thank You to the PTA and the many volunteers who put together a fantastic community event this Saturday … it was AWESOME!

  • VISITS TO THE NURSE: Students are required to obtain a “Nurse’s Pass” from their class-teacher in order to see the nurse, except in an emergency situation.
  • DRESS CODE: Students must wear clothing appropriate for a school setting. Inappropriate apparel such as short shorts (e.g. the shorts length should not be above the tip of the thumb), strapless or backless shirts, visible undergarments or T-shirts with provocative or inappropriate language or symbols (including but not limited to: curse words, sexual insinuations, offensive or racist words, and alcohol/drugs themes) are not tolerated.
  • INAPPROPRIATE DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION are to be avoided. P.D.A. acts are not acceptable on campus or near school entrances or exits. Parents will be contacted after an initial warning has been given and behavioral consequences will increase if the inappropriate actions continue. Anything beyond holding hands or a short quick kiss as a cultural greeting is considered PDA. At no time should students be sitting on a partner, embracing for a prolonged period or lounging together in an inappropriate manner.
DELF Oral Exams will take place on Monday (25 November) from 13:00 to 16:00 in rooms A4 (Lab), B26 and US Library Lab. The list of students who will be taking the exam can be found at the end of the Docket.

Varsity Softball: Meeting for girls interested from 15:30 - 16:00 in room B24.  Be sure to bring appropriate workout clothing for introductory practice afterward.  Please email Coach Stephenson with any conflicts or concerns.
