What's on the Docket # 28 - March 24 to March 30

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
·        Missing laptop: If you accidentally picked up a laptop that was left on the bench in the senior hallway would you please return it to the high school office. Thank you.

·        PROM Committee consisting of juniors and seniors is being established to plan and organize the 2014 Prom for May 9. Interested students may apply in writing to Mr. Fernandes. This activity may earn students CAS credit. Next meeting will take place on March 31.

·        Blood Drive: The Global Issues Network has organized a blood drive for students aged 16 and over, teachers and parents on April 1-3. Busses from Einstein will take those interested in participating in the program from school to the hospital after school and bring them back later in the afternoon. Be on the lookout for more information from Rafaela Sabó and Tamima Mourad.

·        Cesgranrio Assessment for Grade 9 students will take place on April 3 (B Day Block 6) and April 4 (C Day Block4)

·        PTA Goodwill Scholarship 2013-2014: Every year the PTA awards a US$2000.00 scholarship to a graduating senior to support and honor their dedication to community service work. Seniors are encouraged to apply by midnight April 17. The winner will be announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony.

·        PTA HS Coffee on Grading and Assessment on Wednesday, March 26 in E12 from 08:30 to 10:00

·        Zombie Zoo sign up has commenced. If you have any questions please contact MC Otani

·        PTA Celebration of the World (COTW) will be celebrated on April 26. This is a Graded Community event & fundraiser held each April to celebrate the diversity of our school where all countries represented at the school will have the opportunity to show their culture.

·        Student Advisory Board: meet every Friday to review school policy and aspects of student life at Graded. You can contact the SAB members on sab@graded.br

REMINDER OF THE WEEK
Multiple Extracurricular Events
A student is limited to ONE non-curricular off-campus event per semester (e.g. Big Eight, MUN) without approval by the Assistant Principal and Counselor at the beginning of each semester.  The meeting is meant to provide consistent monitoring and support of students missing class on multiple trips. There is no limit to the number of activities in which a student may participate with the approval of the Assistant Principal and Counselor as long as the student remains in good academic, attendance and behavioral standing.
