GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
                                                                                                                                               

Open House: We look forward to introducing new parents and new students to the High School Open House, which will be held on Thursday 20th August from 1pm to 4pm in the auditorium. Seating is open. Students do not have to sit in their flex groups.
Students at 1:15pm - please enter from back of auditorium, as parents will already be seated in the auditorium.

Senior University Presentation:  On Thursday, August 20 at 4:15 pm in the Black Box Theater (immediately following the HS Open House), we will be presenting information regarding the college application process (where the focus will be on US, Canada, UK and European institutions). We will discuss where you should be in the process right now, what is the responsibilities of the student, the counselor's and the parent's throughout the process, and answering questions you may have. 
Adriana Silveira, the person working with students applying to Brazilian universities, will also introduce herself and briefly mention her work. The Counselors strongly encourage both students and parents to attend. 
This presentation is specifically tailored to seniors and their families and what they should be doing at this moment in the college application process. Presentations for juniors and their parents and sophomores and their parents will be given in the future.

EduChange: A parent coffee will take place for parents to learn about the integrated science courses on the 20th August at 4pm in E12.

Respecting technology: Several computers were hacked into in the library with the intent to change the settings. Please be respectful of school property.

Counseling during Flex: Students must attend counseling sessions during Flex if these are scheduled. This is not an option.

Seniors - IB Diploma Extended Essays Final draft is due at 4:00PM on the 17th August
