GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS


Sunday 15th November: The Graded Campus will be closed to all on Sunday, 15 November due to fumigation, in order to prevent Dengue.

PTA Coffee: “Mindfulness” roundtable on Tuesday 17th November from 8:30am to 9:45 am in the auditorium.

SALMUN- MUN students will representing Graded at the upcoming Model United Nations Conference held in Salvador from the 18th to 21st November.
Students will leave on Wednesday 18th at 11am, and return on Saturday night the 21. We wish the following students the best of luck with their resolution papers.

Upcoming Workshop for Parents - Get to Know Your Library: This will be held on 24th November in the Upper School Library at 8:30-9:30 AM

Graded Swim Club: it is a club that gathers Graded students in order to compete in swimming competitions and if anyone is interested they can contact Lucca Oliveira or Eliza Knode for more information regarding plans for the group.

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Interested in taking part in an editorial cartoon competition? A new award category, Editorial Cartoons, sponsored by The Herb Block Foundation, is designated for artwork that conveys a political theme or message. Three $1,000 cash scholarships will be awarded to students who earn National Medals in Editorial Cartoon in the 2016 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Editorial cartoons may be in the form of, but are not limited to single panel drawings with captions, sequential comic art, illustrations, digitally created drawings, or animated films with a political theme or message. Students and educators should visit our website for more information. For the chance to earn a $1,000 scholarship, students in grades 7–12 are encouraged to submit their editorial cartoons to the Scholastic Awards at www.artandwriting.org
Deadline: The deadline for submissions is generally in mid-December. Click here for more information on deadlines.

Snack Bar construction: The temporary snack bar will be on the senior cobblestone area. Construction on this area will start this week. Use caution in this area.


REMINDER (S) OF THE WEEK


Students:
Assemblies: In order to provide time for individual students to meet with teachers for help on assignments, we are trying to keep to high school assembly per month. Sometimes situations may arise when we have more than one a month. All assemblies are mandatory and attendance is taken.
Library elevators: Students please refrain from using the elevators. They are not for student use unless a student has difficulty climbing the stairs.
