GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS


Graded Cricket Club’s Sports Clinic: In celebration of Graded Cricket Club’s victory against Poços CC this weekend, and in attempt to further cricket at Graded, the leaders at GCC have gotten into contact with Matt Featherstone an ex-county cricketer who will be doing a sports clinic at Graded. This sports clinic will be held on Monday November 23rd and is open to all high school students interested in learning cricket. No prior knowledge required, anyone who wants to learn a new sport can show up to the main gym at 3:15 and attend the clinic.

MS and HS Combined Arts Rehearsal:  The rehearsal will be heard on Monday 23rd November during Block 8. Band students are not required at this time.

Written and oral French DELF Exams: These will take place at 1:00 pm on 23rd November in the US Library-second floor.

Workshop for Parents - Get to Know Your Library: This will be held on 24th November in the Upper School Library at 8:30-9:30 AM.

Athletics Celebrations to take place on 24th November @ 7:00 pm in cafeteria then will move to the auditorium at 7:30 pm.

Snack Bar: Will open at 11:40 am on Wednesday to make up for Friday.

Thanksgiving Day: We wish all our American families a Happy Thanksgiving. Students will be released at 12:00. Professional half day for teachers.

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Interested in taking part in an editorial cartoon competition? A new award category, Editorial Cartoons, sponsored by The Herb Block Foundation, is designated for artwork that conveys a political theme or message. Three $1,000 cash scholarships will be awarded to students who earn National Medals in Editorial Cartoon in the 2016 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Editorial cartoons may be in the form of, but are not limited to single panel drawings with captions, sequential comic art, illustrations, digitally created drawings, or animated films with a political theme or message. Students and educators should visit our website for more information. For the chance to earn a $1,000 scholarship, students in grades 7–12 are encouraged to submit their editorial cartoons to the Scholastic Awards at www.artandwriting.org
Deadline: The deadline for submissions is generally in mid-DecemberClick here for more information on deadlines.
