What's on the Docket # 24 ~ 29th February to 6th March

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome: We welcome Maggie Moraes who will be taking over for Siri Berman as she starts her maternity leave. Ms Moraes will coordinate the IB Extended Essay and IB CAS.

AMIS: March is the month for AMIS Honor Music Festivals! The Honor Choir Festival takes place this all this week in Luxembourg, and the Honor Band members will travel to Doha, Qatar during the week of March 14. Congratulations to our hard working and talented music students representing Graded!

Go Green Announcement: Service Learning Groups are working with Unimed to collect can tabs like the ones on Coke cans. We will have a bottle by the snack bar to collect can tabs in HS. There will be one plastic bottle for each grade, and the grade that collects the most can tabs will be rewarded with ice cream.

Running for Literacy (Marathon fundraiser): Are you aware that Brazil has a significantly large inequality gap in terms of education standards across the nation? Approximately 18 million people of the ages of 15+ fall under category of illiterate? What if I told you, you could help? "Run" for change you wish to see in the world! Participate in Lê Comigo's fundraising marathon April 24th, 2016. Help Lê Comigo by finding sponsors who would benefactor your effort and sweat for participating and running 3.2km, 8km, 24km, or 42km in an established international marathon here in São Paulo! More information will be released soon, but feel free to talk to Luuk K., or Miguel D., or Marcelo M., or Matías M. for more information.

IB Mock Exams: These will be held from the 14th to the 18th March Information for parents about the IB Mock Exams (seniors)

Alumni Career Survey: In April we will hold Alumni Career Panels for HS Students. We would like you all to fill out a quick survey about your career interests. The more responses we have, the greater variety we can provide.
