GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS


Annual PROM: Save the date for Saturday 30th April at 8:30pm in the BBT. Tickets for the PROM will go out on Monday 21st March outside the cafeteria. Open to all juniors and seniors at the same price as last year R$120.00
Payment needs to be in cash.  Please have correct amount. No tickets will be sold at the door so hurry and get your tickets from any member of the PROM Committee.

IB Visual Arts Senior Exhibition Opening Reception - This will be held on Tuesday March 22nd between 3:30pm - 5:30pm in the Lemann-Tully Arts Center Gallery, 2nd Floor. Please come along and see the amazing work our students have accomplished. IB VA Flyer

Math League Contest #6. This will be taking place in B3 at 12:35pm on Tuesday 22nd March.

Early Release for Teacher Professional Development Day - Thursday 24th March. Students dismissed at Noon. The schedule is as follows:
8:10 - 9:00 - Block 5
9:00- 9:05 - Transition
9:05 - 9:55 - Block 6
9:55 - 10:15 - Transition
10:15 - 11:05 - Block 7
11:05 - 11:10 - Transition
11:10 - 12:00 - Block 8

Calling Little Shop of Horrors Crew Members: Are you interested in helping out with the up-coming musical?  IB students, this is a great time to work on your CAS requirements!
We need people to help with:
· Ticket Sales
· General Crew
· Make-Up, Hair & Costume 
· Puppeteering 
· Running Microphones
· Spotlight work
 All crew must commit to attending the required informational meeting, essential rehearsals and performances. If you are interested, please send Ms. Grimes an email (emily.grimes@graded.br), expressing your particular interest.

Zombie Zoo is around the corner! This is a semester event hosted by Bricks, in which students and teachers have the chance to preform before the Graded Community! It will be held April 1st from 3:30 - 6:30pm in the BBT.
There is still time to  Sign up in order to preform! Please do so by March 25th! You'll get a food voucher, or even two (in case you preform in another language other than English)!!
Ticket sales for Zombie Zoo will be occurring during high school breaks (9:30 & 11:05) from Mar.21st - 31st. During this time, the tickets will be R$15, and on the day of the event it will be R$20.

Celebration of the World Volunteers Needed!  Student volunteers (8th grade and above) are needed for the Celebration of the World festival to be held on April 2nd!  Come join us for a day of great food, fun, entertainment and celebrating the diversity that is Graded.  Help is needed with the parade, raffle, silent auction, entertainment as well as in specific country booths.  If you would like to volunteer please sign up using the following link: COTW 2016- Student Volunteer Sign Up

StuCo is coming... Do you want to improve community spirit at Graded? Do you have what it takes to be a leader? Then maybe you should stand for a position on the HS Student Council.

SAB: The Student Advisory Board provides an avenue of communication between students and faculty, developing leadership skills in motivated Graded students and empowering those students to work with school leadership to improve Graded HS policies and procedures. Running for Literacy (Marathon fundraiser): Are you aware that Brazil has a significantly large inequality gap in terms of education standards across the nation? Approximately 18 million people of the ages of 15+ fall under category of illiterate? What if I told you, you could help? "Run" for change you wish to see in the world! Participate in Lê Comigo's fundraising marathon April 24th, 2016. Help Lê Comigo by finding sponsors who would benefactor your effort and sweat for participating and running 3.2km, 8km, 24km, or 42km in an established international marathon here in São Paulo! More information will be released soon, but feel free to talk to Luuk K., or Miguel D., or Marcelo M., or Matías M. for more information.


Graded's Run against Cancer is taking place on Saturday 30th April from 10am to 1pm in Parque Burle Marx. If you would like to walk or run, please access this link. www.graded.br/run

REMINDERS TO STUDENTS
To ensure a balance between curricular and co-curricular participation, and avoid student overload and stress students may not be away from school more than eight days per semester. Students are limited to one co-curricular off-campus event per semester (e.g. Big Eight, BRAMUN, AMIS) without approval by the Assistant Principal and Counselor at the beginning of each semester. Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Assistant Principal and/or Grade Level Counselor.
