GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS


Congratulations to Mr. McPhee and his team for a very successful Graded Run against Cancer. The proceeds will go to Casa Maria Helene cancer shelter. Thank you to those that made this a wonderful community event.

HS Combined Rehearsal: Block 1, Day A on Monday

IB Exams: Seniors will continue their IB Exams this week in the BBT. Try to avoid making noise in this area. Please review the IB Exam Schedule.

MAP Make ups: Students who have not started or finished the MAP test, will need to do the test in Ac28 at 3:15 on Monday.

K-12 Vernissage: The time has come for Graded's annual K-12 Visual Arts Exhibition, featuring work by every Lower, Middle, and High School art student. The exhibition will occupy the first and second floors of the Arts Building for the month of May. The opening reception will take place on Tuesday, May 3rd, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Please join us to celebrate another successful and exciting year of visual arts at Graded. We hope to see you here!K-12 Vernissage

Celebrating Mother's Day: The Graded Honor Choir will present a genuine tribute to all the mothers in our community. Come celebrate Mother's Day with us! Thursday, May 5th, from 3:40 to 4:00PM

IB DP EE Panels: One of the most meaningful academic experiences for grade 11 students in the IB Diploma is the Extended Essay Panels. Juniors will present and discuss their essays with teachers and colleagues, so as to gather more feedback before the final version of the Extended Essay is submitted to the IB.  Panels will take place on May 6 or May 9 - please check the EE panels schedule

Library News: Time is flying, it is hard to believe that it is already May. As we wrap up the school year, here are some important dates for the library: 
· May 20 - Seniors must have turned in all materials and/or cleared their accounts. 
· May 27 - Last day to checkout materials for the 2015-2016 school year. 
· June 7 - All materials must be returned and/or accounts cleared. All students must clear their accounts, including returning students.
· June 8 & 9 - Students returning for the 2016-2017 school year can checkout resources for the holiday.

GradedPLAYS:  The Theatre Department welcomes submissions for our 1st Playwriting Contest: GradedPLAYS! Write a ONE-ACT play of any genre or subject but it must be connected to the theme of MEMORY. Winning play(s) will be performed as part of next year's Student Showcase!

Writing Center:
The Graded Writing Center is a resource to help all students at any stage of the writing process. (Note: We cannot assist with certain IB assessments.) You can sign up for 15/20-minute slots outside the office located in A2. 
The current available hours are as follows:

Day B Block 8
Day C Block 1 
Day D Block 6 
Monday & Tuesday after school (3:15-4) 
Monday & Friday Flex (1:15-1:45)


REMINDERS TO STUDENTS
End of year student assessment reminders:
- The cutoff for accepting assessment work from students is Tuesday June 7.
- After May 30, summative assessments will not be eligible for re-assessments
