Boys Futsal - 8th place

Cesgranrio: This is the schedule for the Cesgranrio external assessment of reading and writing in Portuguese - 9th grade - Monday (May 9) and Tuesday (May 10), 2nd block. Students in Portuguese 9 and PAL AV 9 will be sitting for the tests in rooms B 7, 8/9, 10, 29, 31. This test happens once a year for grades 5,7,and 9. They bring important data about our students' performance, comparing them with other schools in Brazil, including some American Schools. 

Gr 11 Extended Essay Panels: Our successful EE Panels continue this Monday-   please check the schedule here. Candidates will present and discuss their essays with teachers and colleagues, so as to gather more feedback before the final version of the Extended Essay is submitted to the IB. We really look forward to seeing you!

IB Exams: We are half way through the exams.  Seniors will continue their IB Exams this week in the BBT. Try to avoid making noise in this area. Please review the IB Exam Schedule.

Early Release for Professional Development Day: Thursday 12th May. Students dismissed at Noon. The schedule is as follows:
8:10 - 9:00 - Block 1
9:00- 9:05 - Transition
9:05 - 9:55 - Block 2
9:55 - 10:15 - Transition
10:15 - 11:05 - Block 3
11:05 - 11:10 - Transition
11:10 - 12:00 - Block 4

Library News:  Important dates for the library: 
-May 20 - Seniors must have turned in all materials and/or cleared their accounts. 
-May 27 - Last day to checkout materials for the 2015-2016 school year. 
-June 7 - All materials must be returned and/or accounts cleared. All students must clear their accounts, including returning students.
-June 8 & 9 - Students returning for the 2016-2017 school year can checkout resources for the holiday.

Basketball Pre-Season is about to start. We need more athletes who are interested in playing basketball or simply enjoying being in a team! Our practices are on Tuesday at the Main Gym and Thursdays at the Covered Court from 4:15 to 5:45.  Our first practice will be on May 10th! Please join us!

Theatre Festival Arts Centre: Mark your calendars! May 25th 4 - 7pm - More detail to come!

GradedPLAYS:  The Theatre Department welcomes submissions for our 1st Playwriting Contest: GradedPLAYS! Write a ONE-ACT play of any genre or subject but it must be connected to the theme of MEMORY. Winning play(s) will be performed as part of next year's Student Showcase!

Writing Center:
The Graded Writing Center is a resource to help all students at any stage of the writing process. (Note: We cannot assist with certain IB assessments.) You can sign up for 15/20-minute slots outside the office located in A2.

REMINDERS TO STUDENTS

* Students are not to use the elevator in the library unless they have a doctor's note. The elevator is for handicap use only.
*Students are encouraged to go home at 15:10 unless they have an appointment with a faculty member and/or are a part of a school-sponsored event.
Students may not leave campus and then return to campus until after the last late bus has departed at 18:00.
