GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS


IB Exams: We are nearly finished. Last exam is on Wednesday 18th. Seniors will continue their IB Exams this week in the BBT. Try to avoid making noise in this area. Please review the IB Exam Schedule.

Senior Events this week:  
Graduation Rehearsals - Tuesday 9-11 and Thursday 10:15-12:15pm in the auditorium
Senior Fun: Thursday 19th May 13:00-16:00 in the main gym
Friday 20th May - Senior Breakfast (08:30), Senior Lunch (11:30) and Senior Awards (13:00)
Graduation for the Class of 2016:  Saturday 21st May at 13:00 in the auditorium. You can watch the live broadcast at this link http://bit.ly/GLgraduation2016

Semester Band Concert: Our Band concert will be held on Monday 16th May at 19:30 in the auditorium. The Semester Band Concert will showcase the entire gamut of the program (Beginning Band, Junior Band, Senior Band, Jazz Band), and will serve as the culminating performance for the year.

YEARBOOK RELEASE PARTY Friday May 20 (3:10-5 PM @ Senior Area)
Come celebrate the release of the Yearbook and get your pre-purchased copy from the Yearbook staff!  If you still haven't purchased your Yearbook, hurry, we are almost out of copies! Go to this link to buy online or go to the Livro Fácil student store.

Altered School Schedule on Friday 20th May (C Day): To accommodate Senior Awards beginning at 1pm, our schedule will be as follows:
8:10-9:05              - Block 3
9:05-9:15              - Transition
9:15-10:10            - Block 4
10:10-10:35         - Transition
10:35-11:30         - Block 1
11:30-11:40         - Transition
11:40-12:35         - Block 2
12:35-13:00        - Lunch
13:00-15:10         - Senior Award Assembly in the Auditorium

Donations: If you have any board games you don't use anymore, please drop them off at the HS office so we can use them for the Board Games after school activity.

THEATRE FESTIVAL: Wednesday, May 25 (4:00 - 7:00pm)
Join us on the 1st Floor of the Arts Center for several performances & workshops including:
· "Flowers for Algernon" Directed by Sarah Bastos '16
· World Premiere of the Original Play "140 BPMs"
· Improv Squad Performances
· Theatre Games
· Hair & Make-Up Workshops
· Open Design Gallery

GradedPLAYS:  The Theatre Department welcomes submissions for our 1st Playwriting Contest: GradedPLAYS! Write a ONE-ACT play of any genre or subject but it must be connected to the theme of MEMORY. Winning play(s) will be performed as part of next year's Student Showcase! 
The deadline has been extended to MAY 31st!  Click here for submission rules. If you have any questions, please speak with Ms. Grimes.

Library News:  Important dates for the library: 
-May 20 - Seniors must have turned in all materials and/or cleared their accounts. 
-May 27 - Last day to checkout materials for the 2015-2016 school year. 
-June 7 - All materials must be returned and/or accounts cleared. All students must clear their accounts, including returning students.
-June 8 & 9 - Students returning for the 2016-2017 school year can checkout resources for the holiday.

REMINDERS TO STUDENTS

If you know you are going to be absent from school ahead of time, please make sure you and your parents let the HS office know and you fill in an absence form.
