GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS



Donations: If you have any board games you don't use anymore, please drop them off at the HS office so we can use them for the Board Games after school activity.

Recycling collection: Go Green would like to remind you as we finish for the year to drop off any old writing utensils you no longer use. We collect pens, pencils, markers, dry erase, highlighters and erasers. Drop off box is in the MS office. Thank you for giving.

DI Global Finalists: We wish the following students the best of luck this week in the Destination Imagination Finals. They are Lucas Taragano, Sophia Takahashi, Antonio Fernandes and Robert Gibbs II

FILM FESTIVAL AND JAZZ BAND CONCERT: This will be taking place on Tuesday 24th May.  It kicks off outside the auditorium at 19:00 with Jazz and Red Carpet interviews / mingling.

THEATRE FESTIVAL: Wednesday, 25th May from 16:00 to 19:0o in the BBT
Join us on the 1st Floor of the Arts Center for several performances & workshops including:
· "Flowers for Algernon" Directed by Sarah Bastos '16
· World Premiere of the Original Play "140 BPMs"
· Improv Squad Performances
· Theatre Games
· Hair & Make-Up Workshops
· Open Design Gallery

Corpus Christi Holiday: There will be no school on 26th May.

GradedPLAYS:  The Theatre Department welcomes submissions for our 1st Playwriting Contest: GradedPLAYS! Write a ONE-ACT play of any genre or subject but it must be connected to the theme of MEMORY. Winning play(s) will be performed as part of next year's Student Showcase! 
The deadline has been extended to MAY 31st!  Click here for submission rules. If you have any questions, please speak with Ms. Grimes.

Library News:  Important dates for the library: 
-May 27 - Last day to checkout materials for the 2015-2016 school year. 
-June 7 - All materials must be returned and/or accounts cleared. All students must clear their accounts, including returning students.
-June 8 & 9 - Students returning for the 2016-2017 school year can checkout resources for the holiday.

Student Council (StuCo):  You may have seen the candidates' campaign posters around the school. Get ready to listen to the candidates and vote for student voice on Thursday 2nd June during FLEX.

REMINDERS TO STUDENTS


Student Checkout Procedures:

Any student leaving Graded must be properly checked out prior to his or her departure from school. The checkout process is initiated by contacting the appropriate Principal or Counselor. The student is responsible for furnishing a letter signed by his or her parents requesting withdrawal from school.
